We are offering you the opportunity to join DSV UAE‘s team as an Operations Executive, Air & Sea. The role is responsible for the execution of offshore shipments in accordance with the outlined SOPs for an Iraq based Project.

You will be able to work with direction given, raise concerns and adhere to all deadlines provided. The person should have strong customer service and communication skills and take ownership of issues and provide resolution to clients.

Reporting Line:

Reports to: Project Manager, Iraq

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate breakbulk and OOG bookings with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of breakbulk and OOG cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor cargo movements and provide real-time updates to internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate with warehouse and transportation teams to optimize loading plans and reduce turnaround times.
• Address and resolve any operational challenges or issues that arise during the booking and movement of breakbulk and OOG shipments.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations, supply chain management. and customs procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven experience in breakbulk and OOG booking and movements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience of 3 years working in a customer service role in freight forwarding industry.
• Experience of working with CW1 is an advantage
• Knowledge of heavy lift movements including customs transfers
• Experience in AIR and SEA transport
• Knowledge of customs requirements for inspections in Jebel Ali and DWC.
• Good communication, influencing and organization skills.
• Must be able to take ownership of problems and provide solutions to clients in a timely manner.
• Ability to define requirements, analyse facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken.
