Job Description
Role PurposeIs responsible for evaluating and monitoring all aspects of safety in aviation-related operational activities. This includes ensuring that all activities comply with national and international standards and regulations, identifying safety risks, and taking necessary preventive measures to ensure the safety of passengers and employees.Key Responsibilities/Duties1.Risk Assessment: Identify and analyse all potential threats that may affect the safety of operational activities. This includes reviewing current procedures and evaluating their effectiveness in mitigating risks. Based on assessments, develop plans and strategies to reduce risks and improve safety, and monitor their implementation to ensure effectiveness.2.Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all policies and procedures comply with national and international standards, such as those of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).3.Audit: Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement. Record all safety incidents or emergencies and provide recommendations for improvement to prevent recurrence.4.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on the state of safety and safety to senior management, including assessments, recommendations, and actions taken.5.Training and Awareness: Regularly conduct training sessions for employees to raise awareness of safety and safety and provide them with the information and tools needed to apply best practices. 6.Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency plans to handle incidents or crises and ensure that everyone is ready for immediate response. Work on improving systems and procedures continuously by offering suggestions based on assessments and analyses.8.Other Duties: Perform other airspace and obstacle job related duties as may be assigned from time to time9.Ensure compliance with non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, as well as DCAA security policies, to safeguard both government and DCAA confidential information. Address and rectify any ISR audit findings, promptly report security incidents, and engage in ongoing security awareness training to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure. Academic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in aviation engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.CertificationsICAO approved course in aviation environment.Professional ExperienceAt least (8-10) years of experience in aviation safety and safety: Preferably, the candidate should have extensive experience in the aviation field and a deep understanding of operational and safety activities.Deep knowledge of international regulations and standards such as ICAO, IATA, The candidate should be fully aware of international standards and know how to apply them.
