Role Summary:
The STEAM Programs Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development/execution of STEAM programmatic framework within OliOli® including temporary activations and events, enrichment programs, field trip programs, camps, birthday party activities, and a variety of other STEAM activities, shows and workshops on offer at the museum (all these programs are hereinafter referred to as Programs). The scope of this position will extend to OliOli® outreach efforts and initiatives and will entail participating temporarily in events and activations elsewhere in the UAE.
KEY ATTRIBUTES & DELIVERABLES:
Program Ideation and Development
- Test ideas for new Programs where appropriate tabulate and maintain records of observations on what works, what doesn't, and why
- Be aligned with and stay true to the principles of open-ended exploration
- Assume the Program ownership for certain Programs and manage these on an end-to-end basis, with a focus on refining and improving them
- Ensure that all the adequate supplies, props, equipment, consumables, materials, etc for the Programs are available, and manage the budget for the Programs in a prudent and responsible manner
Program Management
- Oversee the Program implementation and delivery while identifying areas for enhancement
- Ensure that Programs like field trip workshops and temporary activations utilize elements of STEAM education in an engaging way
Customer Engagement
- Bridge the gap between learning and play to create fun, creative and engaging educational experiences for children
- Actively deliver different Programs such as workshops, after school programs, camp activities to engage children, attracting them to visit OliOli® again
- Spend time on the floor to understand how families use different galleries/exhibits to learn how customer and guest engagement can be deepened
Internal Liaison
- Support the Marketing Team to effectively market the Programs to potential guests
- Work with the Operations Team to ensure that OliOli® Programs adhere to the highest H&S standards
- Work with colleagues to recruit, train, and oversee interns to help out at the larger OliOli® Programs
External Liaison
- Engage with community members and other local/international third parties as potential partners/participants for OliOli® Programs
- Initiate a dialogue with best-in-class STEAM educators/communicators to bring a differentiated approach to the OliOli® Programs
Facilitation Training
- Train the OliOli® team to deliver the field trip programs, birthday party activities, demos, shows, impromptus and performances, and so on
- Observe the team in action and ensure that the Programs are being delivered with its original intention to the highest quality
- Work with relevant members of the Guest Engagement team to successfully execute and deliver on the Programs and achieve high levels of guest engagement/satisfaction
Other
- Contribute to a positive, team-based, and guest-first centric culture
- Perform other duties and be involved in projects and activities that contribute to the achievement of our objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
- UAE National with family book
- Bachelor's degree in relevant education and with emphasis (early childhood education is a plus)
- Prior experience with children in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events and projects
- Ability to engage with audiences from diverse nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds
- Excellent event management, collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and balance project demands effectively
