Offset Manager

Your role

The roles is business development within the framework of offset and strategy. You will be responsible for the delivery of Saab’s expansion strategy in the UAE through Saab’s Offset obligations. In this position, you will work in the strategy function as part of the offset team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.  You will identify, analyze, structure, negotiate and implement Offset cases and manage their execution. You will also provide further insight into the overall strategy by identifying critical questions and performing ad-hoc analysis. You will summarize insights and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story; and articulate an argument to present to internal and external stakeholders.

Your desired skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related fields
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing Offset obligation.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience of contracts & negotiations
• Prospect, Venture or M&A business analysis
• Structured, analytical, able to present and convey findings efficiently
• B2G business development,  negotiation & successful sales
• Ability to meet people on different levels and to build and mature relations
• Project management
• Experience with cross-functional teams and maturity to interact directly with senior executives across departments
• Excellent skills in writing and communicating in English
• Successful candidate will be require to meet Security clearance requirements.

What you will be a part of

Saab in the UAE is part of Business Area Surveillance, which provides efficient solutions for safety and security for surveillance and decision support and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions as well as traffic management systems.

Saab has offset obligations that have occurred through successful sales. These obligations are met through various projects that are managed in country. This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
