Job Summary

The Nutritional Science Lead will use their expertise in nutrition to engage with patients both in-clinic and remotely c via technology to support people with metabolic dysfunction through personalized nutritional therapy,. This role primarily focuses on changing behaviour and habits when it comes to  nutritional science. Its delivery mechanism uses innovative technology to improve patient outcomes and manage nutritional programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Nutritional Education:
  • Curate and deliver nutritional education programs using both in-person and online platforms.
  • Create evidence-based educational programs tailored to different health literacy levels.
• Assessment & Data Analysis:
  • Perform assessments, collect data, and establish outcome criteria.
  • Analyze patient data to create personalized nutritional plans.
  • Analyze patient data on scale to create templates for effective delivery of the nutrition aspects of the program.
• Team Education & Support:
  • Educate team members on educational materials and nutritional coaching.
  • Provide consultation on complex nutritional matters related to diabetes.
• Product Development Collaboration:
  • Work with the product team to develop Care Team workflows for diet, nutrition, food logging, weight management, and exercise.
• Patient Support:
  • Provide education related to diabetes, the disease process, exercise, and nutritional education.
  • Develop expertise in evidence-based methodologies for managing metabolic dysfunction
• Documentation & Monitoring:
  • Document assessments, interventions, plans, and progress notes.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Nutritional Counseling:
  • Create in preparing a framework for counseling for weight control and disease management.
  • Focus on preventing complications and managing stable diabetes.
• Community Engagement:
  • Develop collaborative relationships to support quality diabetes care.
  • Participate in outreach activities for diabetes screening and health education.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Nutritional Science, Data science or a related field (preferred). 
• Must be able to quantify trends, and use data to create evidence based approaches in behavioural change in nutritional choices
• Experience in delivering care continuously. A valid DHA License(optional) .
• Technical background or experience in using technology for dietary management (highly preferred).
• A minimum of one-year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in diabetes, nutritionist, or health education role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English (preferred).
