The NOC Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the process of obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the metro rail project during the Design & Build (D&B) phase. This role involves coordinating with various authorities, stakeholders, and departments to ensure that all necessary approvals and clearances are obtained in a timely manner. The NOC Coordinator will work closely with the project management team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate the smooth execution of the project.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOCs) required for the project.


  • Prepare and submit NOC applications, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information are provided.


  • Monitor the status of NOC applications and follow up with authorities to expedite the approval process.


  • Maintain a comprehensive log of all NOC applications, tracking their status and ensuring timely renewals as needed and in accordance with the program schedule.


  • Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team on the status of NOC applications.


  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to NOCs.


  • Liaise with internal departments, including legal, engineering, and construction, to gather necessary information for NOC applications.


  • Address any issues or concerns raised by authorities during the NOC application process.


  • Conduct site visits and inspections as required to support NOC applications.


  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on NOC requirements and procedures.


Qualifications and Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree will be advantageous.


  • Professional certifications related to project management or regulatory compliance are highly desirable.


Knowledge and Experience:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in obtaining and managing No Objection Certificates (NOCs), preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.


  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to NOCs.


  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple NOC applications and stakeholders effectively.


  • Previous experience related to Project Management and in a transportation project with multiple stakeholders will be very useful.


Preferred Skills:


  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in NOC applications and documentation.


  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with authorities and stakeholders.


  • Experience in managing complex projects, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.


  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as a strong understanding of regulatory compliance processes.
