Job Description

Overall responsibilities:


  • Take responsibility for (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for project site and oversee all MEP aspects of the project and assist Sr. Project Engineers and Project Engineers in execution of scope of work.
  • Execute and supervise day to day construction activities and manage the team of foremen, technicians and all skilled and unskilled crew.
  • Preparation of Method Statements (MOS), Material Approval Requests (MAR), and other documentation.
  • Develop and submit shop drawings for approval, detailing the installation and placement of MEP components.
  • Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities for MEP systems, listing all materials & Equipment.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and verifying that ordered items meet project specifications.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the installation process.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures to ensure MEP systems are installed correctly and function as intended.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, including test reports, commissioning reports, and operation and maintenance manuals, as part of the handover process.
  • Review project scope of work and assist in subcontracting activities if required or prepare BOQ and review and verify invoices vs progress.
  • Liaison with other disciplines in the company, planning engineer, quantity surveyor and coordinate with subcontractors on completion of SOW.

Day to day responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage all MEP Works on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Sr. Project Engineers, architects, CAD designers, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Ensure that criteria and scope are met by all MEP disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve any MEP related issues or discrepancies on-site promptly and effectively. Expedite distribution of action items following discussions / meetings with client and end users.
  • Manage and monitor MEP resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient use and cost control at project site.
  • Attending all tests in factories and at site required for installation and handover to clients / end users.
  • Communicate with clients and subcontractor’s focal person at site providing updates.
  • Support QHSE for regular inspections and quality checks of MEP installations to ensure adherence to standards and specifications. Support and enforce health and safety protocols related to MEP works, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with the local regulations.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate and as assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) with (05-08 Years experience) in the Oil & Gas industry, power and infrastructure both onshore and offshore (greenfield and brownfields).



Additional Information

  Experience Requirements:


  • Experience level: 05-08 years
  • 03 years or more experience UAE or Middle East
  • At least one project in ADNOC Group and/or with main contractor in oil & gas installations.
  • Familiarity of industry practices and regulations.
  • Proficient in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with MEP engineering.
  • Fully conversant with authority requirements (ADM/ADDC/TRANSCO) and ADNOC Group standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

  • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and installation processes.
