Job Summary:
Elemech Technical Works Co. L.L.C, a leading construction and facility management company, is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing) with 10+ years of expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining HVAC and plumbing systems for various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and a valid UAE driving license are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Technical Execution:
Design and draft HVAC and plumbing systems using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Conduct heat load calculations, ductwork, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
Ensure designs adhere to ASHRAE, SMACNA, DEWA, and local municipality regulations.
2. Project Management & Supervision:
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on-site.
Monitor contractors and technicians to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers for smooth execution.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for HVAC and plumbing systems.
Diagnose system malfunctions, recommend improvements, and ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
Prepare and review BOQs, technical reports, and project documentation.
Handle permit applications, inspections, and approvals with regulatory authorities.
Ensure projects meet sustainability and energy efficiency guidelines.
5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
Provide technical insights, suggest cost-effective solutions, and attend progress meetings.
Ensure timely project completion while maintaining budget and quality standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in HVAC & plumbing design, execution, and maintenance.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for MEP drafting and layout preparation.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC load calculations, duct design, and plumbing networks.
Familiarity with HVAC software (HAP, Elite) and industry standards.
Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
