MEP DRAFTSMEN

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

An MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing, developing, and maintaining detailed technical drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to support design, construction, and installation processes. Their primary role is to translate engineering concepts into precise and coordinated drawings, ensuring seamless execution of MEP services in construction projects.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and develop detailed MEP drawings (ELV, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing) using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate design implementation.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local UAE codes, standards, and regulations.
• Assist in site coordination by providing technical drawing support as required.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings for MEP services.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure drawings are well-organized for easy reference.
  

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the GCC, particularly in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge and experience in ELV, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is a plus.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, technical drawings, and coordination requirements.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately.
