Job Description
  • Reviews of project technical specifications, test codes and standards, drawings, and BOQ to identify and determine quality and engineering criteria, workmanship and testing requirements.
  • Assesses that proposed project materials are in line with the specific project requirements, including:
    • - Proposal of alternative suitable materials and appropriate tests
    • - Selection of the most appropriate combination of materials for specific purposes taking into consideration the cost implication.
  • Advises on inspection and test requirements of materials during usage.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to site staff in matters related to civil construction materials, their selection, application and testing requirements.
  • Advises the Project Team on problems regarding materials either during production process or within the construction process as a result of monitoring control of materials.
  • Developing pressure test strategy in discussion with various engineering disciplines.
  • Tests and measures finished products, component or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
  • Inspection of material delivered to site and manufacturing factories for permanent construction
  • Manages stocks according to Manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Monitors the implementation of Method Statements, and, Inspection & Test Plans related to materials, and ensures all necessary quality records are generated in a timely manner for all materials.
  • Raises punch lists for incomplete or defective work related to civil materials
  • Assists construction personnel to identify problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to materials.
  • Witnesses with Client all critical verification points on site and provides coordination for all quality issues for conformance to requirements related to materials.
  • Organize the bill of quantity.
  • Close coordination with Stores regarding the materials deliveries and distribution to the concerned users.
  • Follows and implements all the instructions mentioned in the Operations Manual.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelors in engineering in any relevant discipline
  • 5-10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Project (ADNOC experience will be advantage)
  • Computer literate
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Has excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
