Massage Therapist

Job Description:

As a Medical Massage Therapist, you will provide a wide range of specialized medical massage treatments tailored to the individual needs of our clients. You will work closely with our team of physiotherapists to develop comprehensive massage therapy plans, ensuring the highest standards of care in line with DHA rules and regulations. Your role will be instrumental in assessing patients, assisting in the evaluation of range of motion and muscle strength, and contributing to the overall wellness of our clients.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct initial consultations to assess, diagnose, and develop medical massage treatment plans with clear short-term and long-term goals.
  
• Client Consultations: Perform detailed consultations with clients before their sessions to ensure safe and effective treatments.
  
• Treatment Execution: Deliver therapeutic massages that target soft tissues and joints, addressing the specific conditions and needs of each patient.
  
• Documentation & Analysis: Maintain accurate documentation for each client, regularly analyzing records to track progress and outcomes.
  
• Financial Targets: Achieve monthly financial targets by promoting retail products and upselling additional services.
  
• Best Practices: Stay informed about industry trends and apply best practices in all treatments.
  
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, reporting any issues to the Head of Eden Wellness & Physiotherapy.
  
• Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks and notify management of any required orders.
  
• Hygiene & Safety: Uphold strict hygiene standards and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  
• Professional Development: Participate in all training sessions and staff meetings, continuously upgrading your skills and knowledge.
  
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in physical therapy, aqua therapy, and therapeutic massage in a clinical setting.
  
• Licensing: Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license necessary
  
• Certifications: BLS by AHA and certification in massage therapy.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficient in manual therapy, electro therapy/shock wave, soft tissue techniques, taping, dry cupping, and mobilization techniques.
