Role : Manager - Swift and Settlement Operations
Location : Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:
Management of overall Settlements of various types of payments Inward/Outward and SWIFT operations with responsibility for the effective and successful management of staff members, guiding, directing, supporting, and ensure accuracy, quality, control and regulatory items. Planning and maintaining work systems, procedures and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of staff members in the business unit.
Managing and steering a team for 12 staff direct and Indirect reporting
Key Accountabilities of the role
- Utility payments) and responsible for the effective and successful management of staff members, productivity, quality control and timely execution of payments.
- Managing the Gateway Hub Unit for SWIFT Operations in line with SWIFT guidelines, RMA setup’s, Managing the SAA Head office and International Branches logical terminals status in case of Exceptions required other than the auto opening and closing.
- Managing the instant gate – 24x7 LT gate B and performance reporting.
- Managing GPI tracker system, Swift.com site for ADIB Account Billing and BIC Updates, SAA Over Limit Authorization release, SWIFT Logical Terminal Management for H.O. & IBG Countries, SIGNET link & CB site /repository and EN-TDR system
- Mange the role of the Gateway hub compliance to ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and maintaining high standard of operational controls.
- Enhance the operational policy, procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of settlements flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting etc.
- Report promptly to superiors for any irregularity
- Verify and approve the reconciliation of transactions / accounts, ensuring that corrective action is taken on outstanding items and escalate any long outstanding items.
- Report any significant exceptions and/or deviations to department / division management for further instructions / guidance.
- Ensure compliance to ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and maintaining high standard of operational controls.
- Assist in achieving and measuring department performance against identified goals for the year.
- Regularly evaluate the operational processes and recommend to line management, suitable changes to improve efficiency and controls.
- Evaluate and improve the settlement operation efficiency and manage the operational risks and controls involved.
- Undertake training programs to improve knowledge in order to enhance role performance and provide training to junior staff under the cross functional training program.
- Undertake any additional assignments / projects entrusted by the line management and complete them as per requirement.
