Job Description

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a prestigious and well-established university in the UAE. Our client is looking to appoint a highly qualified and experienced Manager to lead their Scholarships & Academic Aid division. This role is crucial in ensuring that deserving students receive the academic assistance they need to achieve their educational goals. The ideal candidate will oversee the administration of scholarship programs and academic aid, develop policies, and ensure the smooth functioning of all related processes while ensuring compliance with university guidelines and regulations.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Administer the policies, requirements, and procedures for academic aid and scholarships.

- Develop, implement, and assess scholarship and discount policies to ensure effectiveness.

- Oversee the processing of sponsorship accounts, academic aid applications, and the collection of outstanding balances.

- Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations, agreements, and university policies related to scholarships and academic aid programs.

- Act as a liaison between different university departments to coordinate and align policies related to academic aid.

- Monitor scholarship accounts to ensure expenditures remain within the allocated budget.

- Prepare and balance financial reports related to academic aid and scholarships, and review credit balance statements.

- Present information in meetings, workshops, and discussion groups for students, parents, and staff as needed.

- Collaborate with external agencies to develop and enhance the university’s academic aid and scholarship systems.

- Manage financial resources, including the processing, auditing, and collection of funds related to academic aid.

- Prepare and oversee scholarship service contracts.

- Audit student files and reports to ensure timely processing and disbursement of academic aid.

- Assist in designing, testing, and implementing software systems related to academic aid, ensuring quality control processes are in place.

- Organize and provide information for auditors during annual reviews and handle special updates to student records.

- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols while managing academic aid functions.


Requirements- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in academic aid, scholarships, or related administrative roles.

- Fluency in English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong knowledge of academic aid policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements, as well as a solid understanding of data management systems.

- Proven ability to assess student eligibility for scholarships and academic aid, ensuring compliance with regulations and university policies.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage scholarship accounts, prepare reports, and monitor budget expenditures.

- Proficiency in computer applications and software related to academic aid, with strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple processes efficiently.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, staff, external agencies, and various departments within a diverse university setting.
