About Job


As a Manager, Sales & Event you will be responsible for overseeing the sales and events operations across all F&B outlets within the hotel. This role involves driving revenue and profitability while establishing the framework for this new department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales acumen, a deep understanding of F&B operations, and a proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies. This individual will lead the sales and events team, ensuring seamless execution of events and enhancing guest satisfaction.


Key Duties and Responsibilities  


Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth: 


  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability for all F&B outlets, aligning with the hotel’s overall business objectives. 


  • Identify and target new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group bookings, and special events, to drive occupancy and increase sales. 


  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and optimize performance. 


Event Planning & Execution: 


  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events across all F&B outlets, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. 


  • Collaborate with the F&B and operations teams to develop event concepts, menu offerings, and service standards that align with brand guidelines and enhance the guest experience. 


  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including setup, staffing, and post-event reviews, to ensure flawless execution and continuous improvement. 


Department Structure & Team Leadership: 


  • Establish and structure the sales and events department within the hotel, defining roles, responsibilities, and processes that support operational excellence. 


  • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales and events team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences. 


  • Set departmental goals and KPIs, monitoring team performance and providing feedback to drive continuous development and success. 


Budget Management & Financial Performance: 


  • Prepare and manage budgets for sales and events, tracking performance against financial targets and implementing corrective actions as needed. 


  • Work closely with the F&B Director to control costs, maximize profitability, and ensure efficient resource allocation. 


  • Regularly report on sales activities, financial performance, and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions. 


Client Relations & Communication: 


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to deliver tailored event solutions. 


  • Act as the primary point of contact for all sales and event-related inquiries, ensuring clear and effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. 


  • Foster positive relationships with key accounts, leveraging these connections to secure repeat business and generate referrals. 


About You


A perfect candidate should have a minimum of 5 years expiriance in sales and event management within the hospitality or F&B sector, with a proven track record of driving revenue and managing high-profile events. Experience in setting up new departments or teams within a hotel or similar environment is highly desirable. Strong sales acumen, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. Excellent understanding of event planning and F&B operations, with a focus on delivering quality and profitability. Proficiency in sales management software, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Proven leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
