Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for identifying, attracting, and closing business development opportunities across the DHAM Retail portfolio, including both new and current business partner opportunities, and providing a seamless customer service experience for business partners that encourages maximum revenue, customer retention, and satisfaction, across DHAM Retail portfolio.


Job Description
Commercial Operations
•    Research, analyze, and make recommendations concerning prospective tenants for Malls/Retail Destinations/Community Centers based on client financial strength, tenant mix, and return on investment. Provide recommendations to the Retail Tenant Selection Committee & Asset Management Committee on proposals submitted.
•    Review the yearly Retail division plan and prepare the merchandising plan for the retail precincts. Preparing and executing, along with senior management, the strategy for the various retail precincts in accordance with the master merchandise plan. 
•    Pursue local and international tenants within the targeted use categories via regular and systematic canvassing, cold calling, and networking.
•    Contribute to the preparation of budgets by providing due inputs on various factors, including sales pipeline, vacant units, potential terminations, non-renewals, etc.
•    Proactively achieve new & expansion targets through pursuing and continuously identifying markets, segments, and companies to achieve leasing targets and contribute to the identification of new value-added business opportunities using innovative concepts and considering changes in the market environment.
•    Manage lead generation activities, identify and develop potential pre- and post-leasing business development opportunities, negotiate deals with target clients, build short-term/long-term business relationships/partnering to meet tangible objectives and targets for growth, maximize and sustain revenue and profitability and enhance market share.


Customer Service and Relationship Management
•    Nurture and gain new customers and accounts through efficient networking and negotiations of leasing deals in order to build business development opportunities and thereby achieve leasing targets in line with business objectives.
•    Carry out analysis of customer satisfaction results from gearing the service and products provided to ensure high customer satisfaction and make recommendations to the management to develop new services and products based on customer (new & existing) feedback and requirements.
•    Focus on customer service initiatives and develop long-lasting relationships with key decision makers, understand and respond to customer needs, track and monitor account activity
•    Maintain good relationships with the relevant business communities and assist the marketing department in organizing networking opportunities, forums, seminars, and customer exposure to ensure that all possible opportunity for business partnering is captured in the business's best interest, thereby increasing potential revenue opportunities.



Innovation and Continual Improvement
•    Keep abreast of market trends, competitors, professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth 
•    Review the continuous improvement of pre- and post-leasing and business development practices considering ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
•    Ensure compliance to all relevant internal and external policies, procedures, and controls across the division.
