Job Description



As Manager, Issuer Relationships at Checkout.com, you will lead issuer engagement efforts in the region, working closely with the Global Head, Issuer Relationships to build strategic partnerships with issuing banks.
Your role will focus on optimizing payment performance by addressing soft declines, resolving discrepancies, and identifying opportunities to improve card authorization rates for merchants. You will leverage your expertise in issuer risk, fraud management, and authentication processes to advocate for best practices and drive better payment outcomes. Engaging with external stakeholders, you will represent Checkout.com in industry forums and thought leadership events, strengthening awareness of our payment optimization capabilities. Internally, you will collaborate with Financial Partnerships, Payment Performance, Data Analytics, and Commercial teams to harness data-driven insights that enhance merchant success.
Using Checkout.com’s analytics tools, you will showcase impactful case studies that demonstrate improvements in revenue, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. This externally facing role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to influence at all levels, and a passion for driving merchant success through strategic issuer relationships. You will join an ambitious team of partnerships professionals, data scientists and engineers who are working to significantly move the needle within an area that has high strategic importance to Checkout.com.

What you’ll be doing:



Drive Checkout.com’s Issuer engagement programme in MENA region Support Global Head of Issuer Relationships in multiple team and company wide initiatives Deliver Issuer engagement and provide insight on Checkout.com’s Data Analytics value proposition to merchants Partner with Commercial Teams to provide insights on Checkout.com’s merchant centric approach to business performance improvement. Articulate how Checkout.com’s proposed solutions improved merchants’ performance & revenue for both the merchant and the company (internal / external ROI)

Qualifications



About you:
5+ years’ experience in Payments in a data intensive and performance-focused environment Excellent communication skills with payment industry gravitas Must have strong stakeholder management skills and easily adaptable in fast paced work environment Executive presence with an ability to take initiative and find creative solutions & effective ways of communicating business solutions Recognised industry expert capable of navigating into complex Issuing organizations Fluent in English, showcasing exceptional communication skills. Plus: Prior programme level work in Card Authorisation Optimisation, Risk/Fraud Management + existing Issuing bank contacts and Data Analytics skill
