Job Description

Core Responsibilities


  1. Assesses and reviews the space utilization in the University to ensure effective utilization of spaces and infrastructure.
  2. Develops concept designs and space utilization proposals to enhance infrastructure based on the University requirements.
  3. Ensures value engineering for the project by reviewing and analyzing the scope of the projects.
  4. Manages and supervises the construction, engineering and refurbishment projects to ensure they are completed within the time and cost projections.
  5. Manages the post construction activities of projects by evaluating the completion level to the scope of the projects and reviewing the bill of quantities to ensure that it meets the approved industry standards.
  6. Develops the scope, policies and processes of the integrated facility management and outsource employees to ensure effective functioning of the infrastructure and services and meet the changing internal and external stakeholder requirements.
  7. Manages the vendor selection, contract documentation, services evaluation, payment certifications and renewal of Facility management contracts and outsourced employees to ensure cost efficiency, timely services and business continuity.
  8. Manages internal and external stakeholders by reviewing and analyzing their requirements to ensure continuity of services.
  9. Inspects facilities and services to ensure asset integrity and a safe, sustainable campus.
  10. Identifies all areas of compliance required by local and federal regulatory authorities with respect to facility and education to ensure total compliance.
  11. Facilitates the internal and external events organized by MBRU by assessing and providing the level of FM support required for its success.
  12. Aligns our FM policies to international quality standards enforce by conducting gap analysis and preparing a plan of action to ensure full compliance to the standards.
  13. Maintains the asset register up to date by ensuring that all assets accurately recorded.
  14. Partners with all HSE initiatives requiring FM support to enhance the level of safety in MBRU campus.

Educational Requirements


Minimum


Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)


Certifications / Professional Qualifications /Membership


  • Certified Facility Management (CFM)
  • (Member of RICS professional body for a senior role – desirable)

Experience


Overall Experience


  • 8 years total experience in FM

Specific role relevance / hierarchy level


  • Minimum 5 years of Management in a Facility Management function managing 500,000 sq ft property
