Your Role
- Leads housekeeping staff, assigns tasks, manages schedules, trains new hires, and conducts performance evaluations.
- Ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet cleanliness standards, inspects rooms before guest arrivals, and addresses any cleanliness complaints or special requests.
- Tracks housekeeping supplies, orders as needed, monitors guest amenity inventory and manages linen and laundry services to ensure timely cleaning and replacement.
- Oversees the department's budget, controls expenses for supplies, laundry, and labor, and identifies cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
- Addresses guest complaints, makes sure rooms are ready on time and works with the front desk and management to meet guest needs.
- Collaborates with the front desk to keep room inventory accurate, prioritize rooms, partner with maintenance to resolve issues, and ensure effective communication between housekeeping and other hotel departments.
- Guarantees the hotel complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, upholds safety protocols, and provides staff training on proper cleaning methods and safe handling of cleaning products.
- Promotes a team-oriented atmosphere, encourages and recognizes hard work, resolves conflicts professionally, and maintains high morale through respect, accountability, and open communication.
