Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Supervision and Leadership:


    • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign tasks and projects to team members based on skills and priorities.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure adherence to procedures.
  2. Maintenance Planning:


    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
    • Monitor work orders and prioritize tasks for timely completion.
    • Plan and oversee major repairs or installations, coordinating with external vendors when necessary.
  3. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:


    • Assist the team in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC issues.
    • Ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  4. Compliance and Safety:


    • Enforce workplace safety regulations and practices among the maintenance team.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations.
    • Maintain documentation of safety protocols and training records.
  5. Inventory and Budget Management:


    • Oversee the inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
    • Monitor expenditures to stay within budget constraints.
    • Approve purchases and manage vendor relationships for maintenance needs.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:


    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including completed repairs, equipment status, and inspections.
    • Prepare reports on maintenance performance, costs, and downtime for management review.
  7. Collaboration:


    • Work closely with other departments to align maintenance activities with organizational goals.
    • Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.

RequirementsEducation:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems, or mechanical repair). An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Experience:


  • Proven experience in maintenance or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.

Technical Skills:


  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an advantage.

Soft Skills:


  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
