Job Description
The job holder is responsible of ensuring continuous, efficient, and reliable operation of all material handling equipment and systems within the Emirates SkyCargo facility at CMT (Cargo Management Terminal) and DWC (Dubai World Central). This is by overseeing and maintaining Management Handling System (HMS) and other equipment used for operations at Emirates SkyCargo warehouse locations at DXB and DWC terminals. The job holder will play a crucial role maintaining a safe and functional environment , minimizing downtime and extending the life of equipment and infrastructure . This role largely will have to collaborate with various teams to address maintenance needs promptly and effectively , ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently
Job Outline:
- Oversee the scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the maintenance supplier align with the approved maintenance plan. Ensure safe, compliant, on-budget, and on-time maintenance by coordinating with vendors and other stakeholders to monitor all the maintenance activities. Establish optimum serviceability of the MHS systems at multiple locations and ensure they are properly maintained in accordance with maintenance best practices while maintaining PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance) KPI compliance.
- Control of nonconformity and corrective action and identify and implement improvement opportunities to proactively ensure the preventive action is effectively implemented in order to avoid recurrence.
- Work closely with the Cargo Control System (CCS) team to ensure that data from MHS systems is properly integrated into the reporting systems and that reports are generated regularly for maintenance review and performance tracking. To conduct analytical study of errors and faults in the systems and analyse equipment failures to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement.
- Respond to and manage emergency situations, including fire alarm activations, Building Management System (BMS) alarms, safety hazards, partial or complete power failures, flooding, or MHS faults. Conduct analysis of the faults in order to ensure safety culture is maintained.
- To effectively manage the maintenance and operations of cool cells and ensure the integrity of temperature-sensitive stored materials, and to implement a comprehensive approach focusing on preventive maintenance, monitoring systems, emergency procedures, and staff coordination.
- Oversee additional MHS expansions and modifications. Manage project technical aspects, timelines and deliverables in order to ensure that maintenance work is completed within the allocated budget and on time.
- Identify and share with Facilities Maintenance Manager opportunities for proactive improvement that reduce risks and enhance the performance of MHS systems.
- Carry out supplier audits, incoming inspections, in-process inspections, installation and commissioning inspections using appropriate documentation and the recording of inspection and test results.
- Carry out Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to fulfil the project-specific quality requirements.
