Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Helper


Location: Abu Dhabi


Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Helper to assist in the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities within a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include supporting maintenance technicians, performing routine inspections, basic repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective teamwork.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist maintenance technicians with equipment repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks as needed.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing minor issues with machinery.
  • Support the installation and replacement of parts as directed.
  • Follow company maintenance and safety procedures to prevent downtime.
  • Keep maintenance records updated and report any safety hazards.
  • Assist in emergency repairs and shutdown maintenance activities.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/High school in a technical or mechanical field is preferred.
  • 0-1 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is an advantage.
  • Good English communication and documentation skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Background in Health & Safety is an added advantage.
