Your role
As growing organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics operations and supporting the Project Manager while engaging with customers to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to understand material delivery milestones.
- Create Material Requisitions for Purchasing, including quantities, and required dates.
- Handling of all import/export permit requests, customs clearance processes
- Support the customer warehouse manager
- Keep control of the stock of the spare parts and consumables
- Managing repair- and procurement orders in sync with the back-office at Saab AB
- Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, support in negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. Evaluate freight forwarder’s performance (OTIF) and implement improvements as necessary.
- Ensure that all logistics requirements for projects are met, including coordinating delivery schedules, and handling special logistics requests.
- Have working knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for IFS, to support the implementation, internal training, and enhancement of our ERP software.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and flexibility of the supply chain. Implement best practices and benchmark performance against industry standards.
- Defense industry knowledge is preferred including basic understanding on export controls.
- Knowledge of developing and writing process and procedure
- Collaborate with cross functional groups
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience with Supply Chain Management and Logistics practices and processes.
- To succeed in your role, you should be a person with a large commercial and technical interest and a high capability of building trust in external as well as internal relations.
- Willing to work in growing team and ready to carry out hands-on job
- Self-motivated, solution oriented and ability to take decisions.
- Understanding of ISO 9001
- A positive, proactive “can do” attitude.
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust across the organization.
- You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
- Driver’s license with own vehicle- able to work on multiple locations.
