Job Description

The Lifting Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of lifting operations within the oil and gas sector. This position requires a keen understanding of lifting equipment, safety protocols, and the ability to manage teams effectively. The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all lifting activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is vital for minimizing risks associated with lifting operations and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all lifting operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment and ensure it is maintained in good working order.
  3. Develop and implement lifting plans, including risk assessments and method statements.
  4. Train and supervise lifting teams, ensuring they are competent and aware of safety procedures.
  5. Coordinate with other departments to schedule lifting operations and ensure resource availability.
  6. Investigate incidents and accidents related to lifting operations, providing reports and recommendations.
  7. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment inspections, and training sessions.
  8. Ensure that all lifting operations are carried out efficiently and within the allocated time frame.
  9. Monitor and enforce compliance with environmental and safety regulations during lifting operations.
  10. Act as the primary point of contact for all lifting-related queries and concerns.
