Job Description

Legal Advisor/Secretary


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to the management team and various departments on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
  • Assist in managing and resolving legal disputes and claims, including litigation and arbitration.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations, laws, and corporate governance standards.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on various matters, including corporate law, labor law, and intellectual property.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate documents, including board resolutions, minutes of meetings, and other statutory records.
  • Handle all aspects of legal documentation, including filing, storing, and tracking legal documents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal issues and coordinate the company's legal proceedings.
  • Provide secretarial support by organizing meetings, maintaining schedules, and preparing legal reports or presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date on new laws, regulations, and legal trends that may affect the company’s operations.
  • Assist in the development of company policies and procedures in compliance with legal standards.



Skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master’s degree or legal certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Legal Advisor, Corporate Secretary, or similar role in a legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
