LEASING AGENT

JOB DESCRIPTION & ETIQUETTE

 

Job Summary: Magus Real Estate is looking for a motivated Leasing Agent to lease residential and commercial properties in Dubai. You will be responsible for property showings, market research, and providing exceptional service to prospective tenants. The ideal candidate has experience in leasing, strong property knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to potential tenants 
  • Advertise available rental units through online listings, social media, and other marketing channels.
  • Evaluate potential tenants by reviewing rental applications, conducting background checks, and assessing financial stability
  • Schedule and conduct property tours with prospective tenants, answering questions and highlighting the features and benefits of the property
  • Discuss and explain lease terms, including rent rates, security deposits, and lease duration. Negotiate lease agreements as necessary
  • Prepare and process lease agreements, renewals, and other necessary documents related to tenant management
  • Address inquiries, resolve tenant concerns, and maintain a positive relationship with current and prospective tenants
  • Conduct inspections before move-in and after move-out, documenting the condition of the property and ensuring compliance with the lease
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations related to leasing, property management, and fair housing laws
  • Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, tenant communication, and property availability for management reports.
  • Able to meet monthly leasing targets.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate leasing or property management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with tenants, property owners, and vendors.
  • Ability to negotiate lease terms and deal with sensitive issues professionally.
  • Persuasive and outgoing personality to effectively market properties and close deals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, appointments, and documentation in an organized manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on meeting tenant needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Accuracy in handling lease paperwork, tenant applications, and property details.
  • Understanding of fair housing laws, lease terms, and general property management practices.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a car is a plus for property showings and meetings with clients.
  • Proficient in using property management software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Etiquette Standards:

  • Always maintain a professionalism when interacting with clients, colleagues, and partners. Use clear and respectful communication at all times, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Be punctual for meetings, property showings, and appointments. Respect your clients' time.
  • Client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
  • Operate with honesty and integrity in all transactions and dealings.
  • Be courteous and attentive to client needs and concerns.
  • Promptly follow up on inquiries, requests, and leads to maintain good relationships and foster trust.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to provide excellent service.
  • Be proactive in resolving issues or conflicts that may arise during transactions.

 

Office Grooming Standards:

  • Dress in professional attire that is clean and presentable (Business suits or smart ironed shirt, smart dresses, skirts, blouses, polished shoes and small heel for ladies). Avoid wearing flip flops or sneakers or any other sports shoes. Minimal make up for ladies. No round neck t-shirts or jeans are allowed on weekdays, Fridays attire can be smart/casual (Company t-shirt must be worn on Fridays)
  • Maintain good personal hygiene, including grooming hair, nails, and maintaining a neat appearance at all times.
  • Keep your workspace organized and clutter-free to project a professional image.
  • Maintain good health and energy levels to perform your job effectively.
  • Be present in office at 9am until 6pm Monday – Friday (Saturdays, occasionally, if necessary, shall be advised by Management). In case of client meeting or other that is scheduled in different location, you must inform administrator of your whereabouts. In case of sickness or non-attendance to duty, inform your manager accordingly.
