LEAD PROCUREMENT ENGINEER - ROTATING MECHANICAL

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Procurement Engineer Rotating Mechanical to join our team for oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the procurement of rotating equipment, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and ADNOC standards. Candidates must have 10-15+ years of experience, significant exposure to ADNOC projects, and be immediately available to join.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the procurement process for rotating mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and other related components.
• Develop and manage procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with ADNOC specifications and international standards.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and recommend vendor selections.
• Review vendor documents, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, delivery schedules, and pricing with suppliers to secure optimal terms.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical and delivery-related issues.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with procurement schedules to meet project milestones.
• Support vendor inspections and factory acceptance tests (FATs) as required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement activities and report progress to stakeholders.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10-15+ years of experience in procurement for rotating mechanical equipment in oil and gas projects.
• Extensive experience with ADNOC projects and knowledge of their procurement processes and standards.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment specifications, international codes, and standards (API, ASME, etc.).
• Proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and vendor relationships.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be immediately available and based in the UAE.
