About the job LEAD PROCUREMENT ENGINEER - INSTRUMENTATION

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To lead and manage the procurement of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas EPC projects, ensuring strict compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and timelines. The role involves overseeing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the procurement process for instrumentation and control systems, including field instruments, control valves, transmitters, and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to review technical specifications and align procurement strategies with project requirements.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate technical and commercial bids, and negotiate terms with approved vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to ADNOC-approved vendor lists and prequalification standards.
  • Monitor and expedite the delivery of materials, addressing any delays to ensure project schedules are met.
  • Coordinate quality inspections, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and compliance reviews for procured equipment.
  • Manage procurement budgets and optimize costs while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and provide regular progress updates to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues, ensuring alignment with ADNOC standards and company policies.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in procurement for oil and gas EPC projects, with a focus on instrumentation and control systems.
  • Proven experience with ADNOC projects and a strong understanding of their procurement standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of instrumentation equipment specifications, sourcing strategies, and vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Must be immediately available to join.
