About the job LEAD PLANNING ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


To lead the planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, ADNOC standards, and client requirements. The role involves managing schedules, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering accurate project controls throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules during the FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Prepare detailed project planning deliverables, including baseline schedules, progress curves, resource allocation plans, and critical path analyses.
  • Lead planning and scheduling teams, ensuring accurate and timely updates to project schedules and reports.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline plans, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to gather inputs for schedule development and updates.
  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports, forecasts, and KPIs to ADNOC and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and scenario planning to support project decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements in all planning activities.
  • Support project controls processes, including cost estimation and resource management, to ensure schedule-cost alignment.
  • Participate in project review meetings, providing insights on planning and schedule-related matters.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling for EPC projects, with a focus on FEED and detailed engineering phases.
  • Proven experience in ADNOC projects, with strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of EPC project execution methodologies, including critical path analysis and resource leveling.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP or PSP (Project Scheduling Professional) are an advantage.
