Lead/Head Mason

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Head Mason with a valid UAE drivers license to lead masonry work at our construction sites. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in masonry work, including brickwork, blockwork, plastering, tiling, and concrete finishing. The role requires supervising masons, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and coordinating with site engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of masons and laborers at the project site.
• Ensure all masonry work (brick/block laying, plastering, tiling, etc.) meets quality standards.
• Ensure risk assessment / job hazard analysis is done in advance of commencement of activities and ensuring all preventive control measures are in place.
• Ensure material, equipment and required manpower are requested and are available on site as required and their optimal utilization.
• Coordinate with other departments on the daily activities, create schedule for workers and oversee quality of the site to ensure progress as per the schedule.
• Record man hour and complete time sheet and daily overtime if applicable.
• Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
• Prepare surfaces and materials for masonry work, ensuring correct mixing of cement, mortar, and concrete.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the section head. Any other tasks as per the company & job requirement.
• Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure alignment, level, and finishing accuracy.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure all workers follow health and safety guidelines.
• Utilize a UAE driver's license for site visits, transportation of materials, and coordination as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Head Mason or Lead Mason in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Leadership skills to supervise and train a team of masons.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Valid UAE driver's license (mandatory).
