Job Description
Overall responsibilities:
- Working lead on assigned project, specifically for Civil & Structural but not limited to interface and coordination with subcontractors and COMPANY.
- Liaison with COMPANY / PMC personnel for engineering related matters, construction subcontractors and projects teams for various technical issues, including site visits.
- Supervise and monitor the performance of civil subcontractors, review & comment on drawings / deliverables, oversee and coordinate with internal team, and client personnel for submission of engineering deliverables, coordinate and resolve technical issues.
- Provide guidance and direction to other multi-disciplinary team members for assigned project.
- Assure compliance with engineering procedures and quality control & HSE standards.
- Supporting construction and commissioning activities after completion of project home office tasks.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise performance of Civil subcontractors and pre-dominantly for electrical trenches, supports, excavation, including general execution, management of civil subcontractor schedule / key execution milestones, budget, and manpower.
- Proactively analyze engineering related issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare field technical proposals, queries, changes requests, etc.
- Assist Project team in preparation of design proposals and providing alternate approach.
- Carry out design content reviews, drawings, including build-ability reviews & option analysis.
- Review shop drawings, field calculations, and dealing with queries submitted by subcontractors.
- Review method statements, material approval requests and other supporting documents by subcontractor
- Support and liaise with other staff in the procurement of materials.
- Assist project team with establishment of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Participate in site visits as required for site surveying and gathering data and important information required to project team.
- Participate in development of estimates for engineering works and reviews.
- Interface with various engineering disciplines and suppliers.
- Plan, coordinate and prepare Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, and award recommendations for various equipment with all disciplines.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural) with (15 Years minimum) in the Oil & Gas industry. Affinity and familiar with Engineering, Procurement and Contracting aspects in the business, both onshore and offshore.
Additional Information
Skills & Professional Requirements:
- Proven project management experience as well as a good understanding of business issues.
- Good level of experience in the related field, industry, and locations of the work in UAE with ADNOC Group.
- Have worked as a Lead Engineer (Engineering) in related projects.
- Experience working on ADNOC brownfield projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge and experience in project monitoring and forecasting
- Ability to manage change control process on project with subcontractors and interfaces (if any).
- In-depth knowledge of all types of project information (deliverables) and its uses and capable of managing information management project team
- Good knowledge of all handover and close-out activities required for client, and suppliers.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience level: 15 years
- 10 years or more experience UAE or Middle East
- Minimum 05 years as Lead Engineer on medium to large scale projects in similar business or industry
- Experience on preparation of MTO, review of other discipline vendor data, contractor submittals
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations used in Middle East.
- HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
