About the Role:
The role holder is responsible for overseeing the landscaping activities within the DCM Communities during operations and maintenance and provide necessary technical advice in order to ensure works are executed within the specification of quality, time and costs.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Landscaping Activities Management
- Conduct site visits for verification of maintenance and operations management of service providers in terms of quality of preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Certify invoices of service providers based on the actual site performance with respect to the rates in the agreements.
- Management of maintenance agreement tenders including scoping and evaluation to make adequate agreements available in place in order to best maintain landscaping.
- Manage the hand-over process for new landscaping projects. Provide inputs to the Master Developer’s development and planning regarding new landscaping projects when required.
- Manage and attend to investors’ complaints to reach a resolution within the key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure the best service quality possible.
- Implement measures to reduce the irrigation and maintenance costs for landscaping.
- Enforce compliance with FM System used by Dubai Community Management
- Highlight additional requirements for improving communities and operational costs such as refurbishment of assets, enhancements to communities, ideas for increasing the quality of services and concepts for saving costs.
- Manage landscaping enhancement projects for Dubai Community Management
- Develop maintenance strategy for the Landscaping maintenance to ensure appropriate service quality and minimum cost of utility consumption.
- Daily supervision of the soft landscape services provided by the outsourced company,
- Visit sites with the contractor and prepare snag reports providing all details /comments before the handover process ensuring landscape services are delivered as per the contract.
- Check the entire network of irrigation physically for any leaks, pressure is adequate for all plants’ coverage, and water is properly routed to the plants.
Inter-Department Communication and Support
- Coordinate and assist the project managers of new parks and landscaping to coordinate for taking over.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving
- Implement value engineering to reduce the irrigation and maintenance costs for landscaping.
- Highlight additional requirements for improving communities and operational costs such as refurbishment of assets, enhancements to communities, ideas for increasing the quality of services and concepts for saving costs.
- Make recommendations on the strategy for landscaping maintenance to ensure appropriate service quality and minimum cost of utility consumption.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have the below qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering / landscaping / architecture or any related field.
- 4-6 years in landscaping operations with solid experience in major landscaping projects.
- Demonstrated experience in soft and hard landscaping and irrigation.
- Possess good project background.
- Knowledge of pest management, lawn and grass work, irrigation and drought management, soil management etc.
