Job Description: Lathe Machine Operator
Job Title: Lathe Machine Operator

Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years

Location: Abu Dhabi

Salary: ₹55,000 per month

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, boring, threading, and facing.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine specifications and setup requirements.
  • Measure and inspect workpieces to ensure conformity to specifications using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Adjust machine settings for speed, feed, and depth of cut for optimal performance.
  • Ensure proper selection and installation of cutting tools and materials for each job.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize machine downtime.
  • Monitor the machining process and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Follow strict safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document and report production logs, issues, and completed jobs to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and resolve technical challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in operating lathe machines.
  • Familiarity with different types of lathes, including manual and CNC machines.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy and material properties.
Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and tool setting.
  • Hands-on experience with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting machine-related issues.
  • Attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle prolonged hours of operation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other departments.
