Black & Grey HR is hiring on behalf of a renowned University in the UAE. Our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting the day
to-day operations of the university's laboratories, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and materials required for experiments and research activities.
- Assist faculty, researchers, and students in setting up and conducting experiments and tests.
- Ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste and maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Monitor inventory and order laboratory supplies to maintain adequate stock.
- Follow and enforce all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for laboratory experiments.
- Calibrate, test, and maintain instruments to ensure accurate readings and results.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
- Proven experience as a Laboratory Technician, preferably within an academic or research environment.
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty and students.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory management software is a plus.
