MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Essential provider of consistent and high standard clinical Assisted Reproduction Technique services to Bourn Hall Mediclinic Abu Dhabi.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- To oversee the day-to-day duties in the embryology/andrology laboratory, including advanced embryology and andrology techniques.
- To continually strive to advance the patient experience/success and identify and suggest areas where improvements can be made.
- To organize and lead in embryologists/andrologist meetings and to share ideas, best practice and results across the group.
- To participate in an On Call rota.
- To write, review and amend embryology/andrology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Work Instructions (WIs)
- To participate in scientific research, both in-house and as a collaborator, and publish findings.
- To ensure the IVF lab staff working hours and working rota are inline with Bournhall Mediclinic SOP’s and guidelines.
- To aid in training and oversee the training of new staff in accordance with BHC SOP’s, best practice and relevant guidelines from professional bodies.
- To develop, motivate, coach, and provide advice and mentorship to new embryologists/andrologists.
- To participate in ad hoc training and support of Bourn Hall International staff, including overseas visits.
- To provide monthly reports on Laboratory and Clinical KPI’s in line with BHC and UAE licencing bodies requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Health Sciences/Applied Science, Biology/Zoology
And Master’s degree in human Assisted reproductive technologies
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Health Sciences/ Bachelor’s degree in applied science/Biology/Zoology with emphasis on Human Embryology
An Embryologist registered with DHA and or DOH.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Human Embryology.
Competent in a wide range of ART techniques including: IVF,ICSI/BIOPSY/ IUI, gamete cryopreservation, PESA/TESA, routine semen assessments.
Experience managing an IVF Laboratory
