SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Jotun Powder Coatings UAE LLC seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead and enhance the process function, ensuring alignment with Jotun’s values and objectives. The role focuses on maintaining HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) standards and optimizing equipment and production processes. This position will be based in Dubai and will be reporting to the Operations Manager of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Color Lab and Quality Control teams by developing, coaching and guiding all team members
- Oversee the Lab function by implementing and monitoring procedures and guidelines to ensure process activities and equipment comply with local laws and regulations, ISO standards, Jotun Operations and HSEQ Systems
- Initiate, coordinate and drive continuous improvement activities and manage quality deviations with Operations teams
- Update and change formulations as required by Group and Development, then make formulations available for products with specific and optimized process parameters in Production
- Participate in equipment selection and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Outline and approve analytical methods, control routines and training to relevant personnel
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Chemistry or similar field
- More than 5 years of experience in the field of Powder Coatings formulations, equipment, quality control, process optimization and people management
- Certifications related to Powder Coating technology or quality management systems may be beneficial
