Job Description

Daikan Izakaya, City Walk, a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is seeking a diligent and dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our team. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that our culinary team can operate efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Dishwashing: Efficiently wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, ensuring that all items are clean and readily available for use by the kitchen staff.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by regularly clearing away debris, spills, and food particles. Ensure that work areas are sanitized and meet health and safety standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly sanitized.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash and waste, ensuring that recycling protocols are followed. Keep waste areas clean and organized.
  • Assistance to Kitchen Staff: Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and organizing ingredients.
  • Stock Organization: Help organize and restock kitchen supplies, ensuring that all items are stored properly and accessible for kitchen staff.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
