About the Job:


An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Ensure guest satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly, and attentive service that exceeds expectations.

  • Oversee and actively participate in delivering excellent service to guests, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.

  • Supervise kitchen section(s) to ensure tasks are completed according to standards, including stock management, portion control, food quality, and cleanliness.

  • Implement measures to minimize waste and control operating costs while maintaining quality standards.

  • Evaluate food products for consistency and quality, maintaining high standards in food preparation.

  • Monitor team members' grooming, hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations and SOPs, providing coaching and guidance as needed.

  • Conduct training sessions to develop team members' knowledge and skills.

About you: 


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of work experience as a Junior Sous Chef preferably within luxury hospitality or luxury customer service.
  • Qualifies in Asian cuisines and specifically in Japanese fusion.
  • Adaptability and appreciation of cultural diversity.
  • Experience in leading and training a team.
