The Junior Estimation Engineer in the civil construction industry plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills. The primary responsibility of the Junior Estimation Engineer is to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires collaboration with various teams, including project managers, architects, and contractors, to gather necessary information and provide insights that will influence project budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
  2. Review project plans and specifications to identify necessary materials and labor requirements.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant data for accurate estimation.
  4. Conduct market research to determine current pricing for materials and labor.
  5. Prepare and maintain a database of cost estimates and historical data for future reference.
  6. Participate in project meetings to discuss estimates and provide feedback on budgetary concerns.
  7. Analyze project risks and suggest mitigation strategies to ensure budget adherence.
  8. Support the senior estimation team in preparing bid proposals and presentations.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all estimation processes.
  10. Continuously update knowledge of industry trends and cost estimation techniques.
