This is a role managing a portfolio of External Manufacturing for Middle East to maximize cost and service benefit for the company by implementing agreed strategies. improvising on and using purchasing tools for effective and efficient operations.




Your responsibilities

In summary, you will: 


  • Manage the sourcing of Contract manufacturing following broad policies and directions and factory specific SOPs.
  • Have a direct impact in corporate measurements and results such as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Gross Margin (GM) and Net Working Capital (NWC).
  • Manage activities to promote a healthy and low risk supplier base while ensuring compliance and business continuity for Reckitt
  • Develop, and recommend the strategy, sourcing and contracting of local suppliers.
  • Identify, select and develop supplier relationships, manage the negotiations within the assigned portfolio.
  • Prepare the budget assumptions for the contract manufacturing spend and be accountable for managing delivery against those assumptions.
  • Monitor and identify risks and opportunities in each sourcing process, drive mitigation and contingency plans to ensure continued supply of the materials/services
  • Monitor market dynamics to exploit commercial advantages.
  • Keep a sound relationship with suppliers at management levels so that Reckitt is seen as a preferred customer.
  • Keep a sound relationship with regional and factory supply stakeholders in understanding needs and priorities to improve cost, service and new product developments.
  • Design, verify and amend contracts in conjunction with the Legal department to protect intellectual property, minimize liabilities, exclusivity periods of innovation, material availability and cost improvements.
  • Ensure governance which includes compliance to Global Operating Model, pricing and expense approvals, PPV reporting and analysis and full use of Ariba and Anaplan tools.


The experience we're looking for
  • Prior experience within procurement, purchasing, or a related administrative field; familiarity with the health and hygiene industry is a plus.
  • Exceptional organisational capabilities and the ability to multitask without compromising on quality.
  • Adeptness with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience using procurement-related software or systems.
  • Communicative confidence to interact with a variety of stakeholders and build productive relationships.
  • A solid grasp of procurement fundamentals, the capacity to handle negotiations, and an understanding of supply chain dynamics.
  • Financial and commercial acumen when identifying business issues/opportunities\
  • Action-oriented and energetic with a focused and pragmatic approach to problem-solving driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles.
  • Ambitious and motivated to take on responsibility in an organization that provides high level of autonomy.
