Job Description
1 Mission
To prepare bid and commercial offers to Clients either for unsolicited offers or response to RFP.
2 Line and Staff Relations
The Junior Bid Manager will report to the Bid Manager and will work in close collaboration with the following teams:
- ADPI staff:
- Business Development & Marketing
- Project Management Office (PMO)
- Heads of Practice, Building and Systems
External collaborators:
- Engineers of different trades within the practice as well as with Engineers in other practices.
- With partners and sub-consultants assigned for the projects in the most professional manner ensuring all meeting are minuted and all exchanges are adequately documented.
3 Key Responsibilities
Bid Management
- Ensure document version control .
- Drafting and reviewing bid text.
- Assist in the preparation of all Bid technical elements for approval.
- Collate all Bid contractual elements for approval
- Assist Bid Manager in the preparation of Bid financial elements.
- Ensure through their contribution, the submission of bids on time and with required quality.
- Preparation of bid submission matrices identifying individual responsibilities for every section.
- Assist the Bid Manager in producing the bid program.
- Formatting of the document.
- Assist with monitoring receipt of information from authors against the submission matrix and ensure information is received on time.
- Collate feedback from bid reviews and distribute to authors.
- Attending from time to time meetings as required
Design Management
- Define design requirements for the tender if required, in liaison with the Heads of departments.
- Maintain a knowledge of alternative technical solutions with a view to being able to resolve tender with innovative solutions.
- Participating in improving the bid tools of the Company (Lessons Learnt in particular)
4 Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
- 7 years of total experience with a minimum of 2 years on Airport / large transportation projects.
- Architecture or Engineering Degree (Bachelor equivalent or above) in one or more of the following fields: Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP or Systems.
- Proven success in winning bids/tenders from within the airports/ transportation industries/large infrastructure projects. (Experience in Asia and/or Middle East is a plus)
- Willingness and ability to travel as the role requires.
- Knowledge and experience of international legal, business and financial principles and concepts in the airports industry / consulting.
- High attention to detail, patience, well-developed analytical, presentation/communication and negotiation skills.
- High emphasis on quality and correctness of the production.
- Displays high degree of confidentiality on documents, customers, data or any Company related information.
- Contribute to case study and project review sheets.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio.
