Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Operate JCB machinery safely and effectively to perform excavation, backfilling, loading, and grading tasks according to project requirements.
  • Follow site plans, blueprints, and instructions from site supervisors to execute job tasks accurately.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections on the JCB to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs or defects.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure environment for the team and other site personnel.
  • Coordinate with other team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers.
  • Maintain daily logs of operation activities, hours, and any issues encountered during operation.
  • Assist with site preparation, material movement, and site clean-up as needed.


Skills

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and certification for JCB operation (as required by local laws).
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience operating JCB machinery in construction or excavation settings.
  • Strong understanding of JCB controls, functions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
