Job Description

Position Summary: The in-house IT Specialist will oversee the internal technology setup, maintenance, and support to ensure seamless company operations. This role is responsible for managing internet connectivity, hardware (e.g., laptops), and coordinating onboarding for new employees by setting up necessary access to company systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal IT Coordination:

  • Ensure consistent internet connectivity and troubleshoot any connectivity issues.
  • Maintain, configure, and update all company devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Provide IT support for internal meetings, conferences, and presentations, including setup and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment as needed.


Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Set up new employee accounts, including creating email addresses and setting up necessary software and applications.
  • Manage access permissions to local folders, shared drives, and other digital resources.
  • Provide basic orientation for new employees regarding the company's IT policies and practices.
  • Deactivate accounts, remove access, and retrieve hardware when employees exit the company.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all internal IT issues, providing timely solutions and escalating to external providers when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues for all employees.
  • Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Inventory and Asset Management:

  • Keep track of all IT assets, including laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software licenses.
  • Coordinate the purchase, replacement, or upgrade of equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies for the use and disposal of IT assets.

Security and Data Management:

  • Implement and maintain security protocols, including managing antivirus software, firewalls, and data backup processes.

Software and Application Management:

  • Install and configure approved software and applications on company devices.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure all installations are up-to-date and compliant with licensing agreements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new software solutions to support company operations.
