Job Description

Job Summary:
The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for executing and monitoring batch jobs, EOD processes, and critical IT operations tasks within a high-availability banking environment. The role includes ensuring smooth operations of core banking applications, enterprise scheduling, and monitoring tools while adhering to compliance and security protocols. 
Must-Have Skills (Mandatory): 
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Operations within an organization of 4000+ users, including at least 3 years in banking. 
- Strong knowledge of enterprise scheduler application Control-M. 
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting batch job executions in Informatica and Hadoop environments. 
- Intermediate knowledge of Unix & Windows operating systems. 
- Hands-on experience in Finacle functional & processing knowledge. 
Good-to-Have Skills (Optional):
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana. 
- Experience with Power BI. 
- Knowledge of Swift Alliance Access jobs & file transfers. 
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
- Certifications in Control-M, Unix/Windows administration, or banking technology would be a plus. 
 Key Responsibilities 
- Execute Core Banking EOD processes (including international locations) and Tier 1/2/3/4 application jobs as per SOPs. 
- Perform ATM maintenance & job executions on Base24 for ENBD Group & third parties. 
- Monitor and re-trigger failed batch jobs for Data applications (Hadoop, Informatica, Power BI) per SOPs. 
- Provide L1 support for Control-M, including rerunning failed jobs, removing conditions, and modifying schedules. 
- Escalate IT operations incidents quickly and efficiently during shifts. 
- Ensure timely delivery of GLIF & reports to Finance and other business units. 
- Transfer and upload customer statements and chequebooks generated during EOD processes. 
- Prepare and maintain EOD statistics, shift handovers, and processing checklists. 
- Monitor Swift Alliance Access Jobs & file transfers through Control-M and other utilities. 
- Conduct UAT EOD/SOD testing for new project simulations. 
- Ensure compliance with group policies, audit, and security guidelines. 
- Coordinate with L2, L3, and Admin support teams for batch job issue resolutions. 
- Perform daily health checks and periodic service restarts for data applications as per SOP.
