IT Infrastructure Engineer

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or minimum of two years' experience in a comparable role within a sizable organization.
• At least 3-5 years’ hands-on experience in network engineering and administration.
• Professional certifications in networking technologies, VMware VCP-NV, Microsoft AZ-104/AZ-303/AZ-304, etc.
• Proficient in network design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation of LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN and wireless solutions.
• Experienced in firewall management and network security, including policy review, rule creation, auditing, and compliance.
• Skilled in VMware virtualization, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and backup solutions.

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team and help us manage and secure our hybrid cloud setup hosted in VMware and MS Azure Cloud.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the global network infrastructure of GAC, including LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, wireless and ZTNA solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, availability and security issues across multiple locations and regions.
• Review and update firewall policies and rules to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Manage and optimise the on-prem VMware environment, including virtual machines, hosts, clusters, storage and backup.
• Configure and administer Azure cloud networking services, such as virtual networks, load balancers, application gateways, VPN gateways, Cloud firewalls.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Document and update network diagrams, configurations, procedures and policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users and IT staff on network-related issues and requests.
• Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of the network infrastructure.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in network engineering and security.
• Lend support to fellow IT Infrastructure team members on relevant projects as needed.
