IT Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Solution Design: Work with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions that meet business needs while ensuring technical feasibility.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate discussions with business users, technical teams, and vendors to align expectations and resolve issues.
• Change Management: Assess the impact of proposed changes and assist in managing the implementation of those changes.
• Testing & Validation: Define and execute test plans, verify deliverables, and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria.
• Project Support: Assist project managers in tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring deliverables are achieved on time.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data and generate insights to support decision-making processes.
• Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support and training to users and ensure smooth adoption of solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar platforms.
• Experience with process modeling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of IT systems and technology, including CRM, ERP, or custom enterprise solutions.
• Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or IIBA certification are advantageous.
