Your Day to Day


As IT/AV Supervisor, to oversee the hotel’s Information Technology (IT) and Audio-Visual (AV) systems. This role ensures smooth IT operations, network security, and high-quality AV support for hotel events, conferences, and guest services. The ideal candidate should have experience in hotel IT infrastructure, AV systems, and event technology management.


Some of your main role responsibilities are:


  • Oversee the hotel’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, and data security.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS), and guest-facing technology.
  • Provide technical support to hotel staff, ensuring minimal downtime for IT-related systems.
  • Manage software installations, updates, and backups to prevent data loss.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance, monitoring system vulnerabilities and implementing security measures.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for conferences, meetings, and events.
  • Assist clients and hotel event teams with presentation setups, video conferencing, and live streaming.
  • Troubleshoot sound systems, projectors, LED screens, lighting, and other AV equipment.
  • Ensure AV setups meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
  • Maintain inventory of hardware, software, and AV equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel IT policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for: 


  • Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT/AV support within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems (Opera, Fidelio, Micros, etc.).
  • Experience with Wi-Fi networks, CCTV, VoIP, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Expertise in AV systems, including soundboards, video walls, projectors, and conference equipment.
  • Familiarity with event technology, live streaming, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work on-call, evenings, and weekends, as required.
