Job Summary:
We are hiring a Female Islamic Studies Teacher of Arab nationality for a well-reputed school in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Islamic studies and values to students, promoting a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, history, and culture. Through engaging lesson plans, interactive discussions, and assessments, the teacher will help foster a positive and respectful learning environment. The role also involves supporting students' spiritual, moral, and academic development, ensuring an inclusive and enriching educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering various aspects of Islamic Studies, including the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Islamic history, and Arabic language.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Ensure that lessons align with the school’s curriculum and the educational needs of the students.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Establish and maintain discipline in the classroom while promoting good behavior and respect for Islamic values.
- Encourage active participation and foster a sense of community among students.
Student Development:
- Support students’ spiritual, moral, and social development through discussions and activities related to Islamic teachings.
- Encourage students to practice Islamic values and ethics in daily life.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on their academic performance and behavior.
Assessment and Reporting:
- Assess students' understanding of the subject through various methods, such as tests, assignments, and group work.
- Keep accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Encourage and participate in school activities related to Islamic learning, such as Quran competitions, Islamic events, or charity drives.
- Organize or assist with extra-curricular activities such as study groups, lectures, or religious celebrations.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on new teaching methods, religious studies curriculum developments, and Islamic teachings.
- Attend school meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall academic and spiritual growth of the school community.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Must have 1-3 years' work experience teaching Islamic Studies or relevant subject matter at the is preferred.
ADEK Appointment letter is mandatory.
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Islamic teachings, history, and culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Familiarity with curriculum design and assessment methods.
- Proficiency in [language(s) relevant to your region, e.g., Arabic or English].
Certifications (optional but preferred):
- Ijazah in Quranic recitation or any other relevant certification in Islamic Studies.
- Teacher training or educational qualifications (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.) is advantageous.
