Irrigation Engineer/Specialist - Farm

Apt Resources is looking for an experienced Irrigation Engineer/Specialist to join our client's Farm. As an Irrigation Engineer/Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing irrigation systems to optimize water usage and enhance crop production. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural practices and irrigation technologies, aiming to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the farm's water resources.

1. Design and Planning:

• • Develop irrigation system designs tailored to project requirements, soil conditions, and water availability.
  • Create detailed plans, schematics, and technical specifications for irrigation systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate irrigation needs and determine suitable system designs.

2. System Installation and Maintenance:

• • Supervise the installation of irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip lines, pumps, and valves.
  • Oversee the installation and integration of Netafim irrigation systems, including automation components and climate control technologies.
  • Ensure proper calibration and testing of systems for optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and, if needed, coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and upkeep.

3. Project Management:

• • Manage irrigation projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, reports, and progress updates.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to protect personnel and equipment during installation and maintenance.

4. Water Management:

• • Analyze water usage data to optimize irrigation efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Implement water conservation techniques and technologies to promote sustainable water use.
  • Stay updated on advancements in irrigation technology and best practices.
