The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi is currently accepting applications for its internship program. This opportunity is open to citizens from all countries and lasts for six months, with the possibility of an extension for up to nine months based on performance. IRENA offers one of the highest-paid internship programs, providing selected interns with a monthly stipend of $1,200 to cover living and accommodation expenses, in addition to round-trip airfare.
IRENA, an intergovernmental organization dedicated to driving the global energy transition toward sustainability, aims to lead the global shift toward sustainable energy. Interns will work 40 hours per week at IRENA’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, according to the agency's working hours.

Selection Criteria for the IRENA Internship Program

Duties & responsibilities



Monthly Stipend: To cover the Living Expenses and Accommodation. Travel: Airfare or rail tickets are available for interns who reside beyond the commuting distance from the duty station.
Open to Graduates and University students. Students enrolled in a post-graduate program or their final year of undergraduate program. Recent graduates can also apply. The Internship is for students from diverse academic backgrounds.* Through this internship, interns will enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments.
