Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to lead the integration efforts between our systems for shopping, reshopping, and pricing, as well as with Real-Time Data Processing (RTDP) for inventory management. The role focuses on ensuring seamless data flow and optimization of pricing and inventory management processes, while supporting real-time adjustments to maximize revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
• Integration with RTDP (Inventory Management):
o Oversee the Real-Time Data Processing (RTDP) integration with inventory management systems to ensure real-time availability of inventory across all booking channels.
o Ensure real-time updates to seat inventory and fare class availability in response to bookings, cancellations, and revenue management decisions.
o Collaborate with IT teams to enhance the integration between RTDP systems and pricing platforms, ensuring that inventory adjustments reflect in real-time pricing and distribution systems.
o Ensure seamless data processing between inventory systems and external platforms, reducing latency and ensuring accurate data across the board.
• Pricing and Inventory Strategy Development:
o Develop dynamic pricing strategies based on real-time data, market analysis, and competitor pricing, utilizing Vayant and RTDP capabilities to ensure pricing flexibility and competitiveness.
o Optimize inventory allocation based on historical data, demand forecasts, and revenue management strategies, ensuring real-time inventory adjustments to maximize seat utilization.
o Monitor pricing performance and inventory allocation to ensure both fare competitiveness and optimal load factors across various flight segments.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work cross-functionally with Revenue Management, IT, Commercial, and Distribution teams to ensure alignment between pricing strategies, inventory management, and system capabilities.
o Lead initiatives to improve the integration process between Vayant and RTDP, ensuring continuous system improvements and scalability.
o Support team members and stakeholders by providing training, documentation, and insights on system usage, performance, and optimizations.
• Analysis and Reporting:
o Conduct regular performance reviews of pricing and inventory systems, producing reports on fare competitiveness, inventory utilization, and revenue outcomes.
o Provide data-driven insights to inform pricing adjustments and inventory reallocation decisions, using advanced analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
o Generate and present reports on the effectiveness of pricing strategies and integration performance, recommending improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in pricing and inventory management, particularly in airline or travel industries.
• Hands-on experience with RTDP integration for inventory management.
• Proficiency in integrating API-based pricing and inventory management systems, with a focus on real-time data processing (RTDP).
• Strong understanding of dynamic pricing models, fare distribution, and inventory control methodologies.
• Excellent data analysis skills with experience in tools like SQL, Excel, and business intelligence software.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of API integration processes, distributed architectures, and real-time processing systems.
• Experience in NDC (New Distribution Capability) and familiarity with IATA standards for fare distribution.
• Prior work experience with revenue management systems such as Sabre, Amadeus, or other airline booking systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
